It's All Greek To Me

Have you ever tried Greek yogurt? Have you been wondering what the difference is between Greek yogurt and conventional yogurt. Here is the explanation I've found on my quest to for a definition.
The Nibble gave this product review and explanation of Oikos Greek-style yogurt:

"Greek-style yogurt is strained yogurt; it’s so thick because the yogurt is triple-strained through a paper or cloth filter, draining off the water and whey. No gelatin or pectin is used to thicken it (as are often employed to thicken brand yogurt —check the label). Greek yogurt is more expensive because there’s less water and more milk solids—and thus more protein.
Greek yogurt is thicker, richer and creamier than European-style yogurt. It has other benefits, too.

You can cook with it, because it’s less likely to curdle when heated. It has twice the protein of regular yogurt, fewer carbohydrates and is lower in lactose. Greek yogurt is also especially creamy; whole-milk Greek yogurt made with cow’s milk contains 9% milk fat, as compared to traditional American yogurts, which have around 3.5% milk fat."

So, are you ready to try some? Well you're in luck! This week at Whole Foods Oikos Greek Yogurt can be purchased free with coupons.

I didn't see them listed as being on sale in my ad, but I may have to stop by to see.

I didn't see it either, but I'll check it out-- if not it's 1.29 at Shaws, so pretty cheap still!

Good news! I just found it at my Whole Foods in TX! It wasn't advertised, but there is a big sign in front of the display. And they're on sale through the 16th! Yea!
